This Van der Ploeg thermal vapor recompression evaporator is a 5-stage TVR evaporator with an “open” type condenser.
It has a capacity of approximately 40–50 m³/h (40–48), with a water evaporation rate of approximately 25–30 m³/h.
This evaporator has a steam consumption ratio of approximately 0.23 (including pasteurizer) and is equipped with several holding tubes (hot holders), allowing different combinations with regard to residence time.
Years of operation: mid-1960s to 2021.
