Auctions & Lots

  • A lot is a machine, production line, part of an inventory or something similar that is offered at an online auction.

  • Each auction organised by Industrial Auctions is assigned a unique auction number. The number before the dash, in bold here, stands for the auction number: 453-2

Every lot that is offered on an online auction is provided with a lot number. The number after the dash, in bold here, stands for the lot number: 657-2

  • Please contact Industrial Auctions for this. You will be referred to the responsible project leader of the relevant auction for more information. Mention the auction and/or lot number.

  • On an auction page you will see the closing date and time. In addition, per category, but also per separate lot on the right side of a page, you’ll find the remaining time before the lot closes. If you track lots from an auction, you will also see whether a lot is open or closed on the 'Track my lots' page.

  • You buy the lot without any form of warranty. Industrial Auctions is not the owner of the machinery and therefore cannot provide any warranty. For each lot, a great importance is attached to providing as complete information as possible. You can send your questions at all times or visit the viewing day if you do not find the desired information in the lot description. If you have any questions, please contact Industrial Auctions.

  • You can find the machine you want in different ways. At the top of the website you can enter a search term or the lot number in the search bar, and the system will search for a match. For each auction, all machines are divided into different categories. In addition, you can sort the lots by lot number in ascending order by clicking 'Show by lot number'. If you do not find any results, you can also send an email to Industrial Auctions.

  • Please contact Industrial Auctions for this. You will then be referred to the responsible project leader of the relevant auction. The project leader will discuss the options with you.

Viewing days

  • If you are not able to visit the viewing day, but would like to organize a video call during this day, we ask you to send an email to info@industrial-auctions.com. The auction's assigned project leader will then contact you to schedule an appointment.

  • All videos that are available will be added to the lot page.

  • You can register for a viewing day by sending an email to: info@industrial-auctions.com. Mention in this email the relevant auction and the desired time at which you wish to visit the location.

Selling your equipment through an auction

  • There is no minimum or maximum number of machines you can put up for auction.

  • Industrial Auctions takes care of the financial settlement with the buyers. Goods will not be delivered if the payment has not been received on the account of Industrial Auctions.

  • The project leader of the auction will answer the questions. Our project leader can contact you for any additional information.

  • This depends on your offer. Industrial Auctions only organizes auctions within the EU and is happy to help you with tailor-made advice. Contact us directly and ask about the possibilities: Tel.: +31 (0)40 240 9208 or info@industrial-auctions.com.

  • This is possible. Industrial Auctions likes to think along and will ensure, together with you, that the documentation will be in order to transport machines to one of our auction locations in Europe.

  • Industrial Auctions is specialized in auctioning machines and inventory within the food and beverage industry. There can be thought of meat processing machines, slaughter technology, fish processing, bakery machines, fruit and vegetable processing machines, packaging machines, cooling and freezing compressors, catering/industrial kitchen equipment, and associated inventory.

  • After our project leader has made the description and photos of the lots, they are uploaded to our online platform. There you have the opportunity to check the lots and to report any changes before they are shown to potential buyers.

  • Upload the photos of your machines and/or inventory and send them to Industrial Auctions via this link. After receiving the photos, we will contact you within a few working days to discuss the possibilities for selling your goods through our platform.

Placing your bid

  • A combination is a collection of several lots that are offered on the auction. This is clearly stated in the individual lots. Recognizable by the symbol [C] and by providing a reference to the combination lot under the lot description. This way, you can buy an entire combination in one go. A combination will not open for bidding until the bidding process has been completed on all individual lots of the combination. The opening bid of a combination is the sum of all final prices of the individual lots, plus the next bidding step. Due to a bid on a combination, all bids on the individual lots will expire. If no bids are placed on the combination, each individual lot will be assigned to the highest bidder of that lot.

  • Go to the lot you are interested in. You can place your bid on the right side of this page. Click 'View your bid', where you will receive an explanation of the total amount. Click on 'Place bid'. Your bid has been placed and cannot be withdrawn. You can also bid directly on the lots you track, on the 'Track your lots' page by clicking the 'Place your bid' button. Through a two-step verification, you can easily bid without having to visit each lot page separately.

  • Static bid - A bid where you determine the fixed amount of your bid.

Proxy bid - If you make a proxy bid, you indicate your maximum bid. The system will keep track of the further progress of the bids and, if necessary, outbids others with (a) new bid(s) on your behalf, up to the maximum amount you initially specified. Only if someone else places a higher bid than your proxy bid, you are no longer the highest bidder and you will be notified by email. If someone else places a static bid that is the same as your proxy bid, your proxy will come first (a proxy bid beats a static bid).

  • If you place a bid in the last 5 minutes before the closure of a lot, the closing time will be extended by 5 minutes. This process will continue until no more bids are made in the last 5 minutes before the closing time.

  • Before you definitively confirm your bid, you will receive an overview with all amounts that apply to your bid and form the total price. On top of your offer, a buyer’s premium and VAT is calculated. The buyer’s premium depends on the country where the auction is organised. The VAT will be charged on top of your bid and the buyer’s premium.

  • Through 'Track your lots' you can see on which lots you placed a bid and on which lots you are the highest bidder. You are the highest bidder for lots with a green gavel. You are outbid for lots with a red exclamation mark.

  • After the entire auction has closed, Industrial Auctions strives to award the lots and send the proforma invoices as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours. After receiving the confirmation, you can make the payment and schedule the transport on the stated pick up date.

  • Static bid; If you are outbid, you will receive an email. In addition, a red bar stating 'You have been outbid on this lot' will appear on the lot page.

Proxy bid; You will receive an email of every bid within your proxy bid. The notification on the lot page remains green with the message 'You are the highest bidder'. You will also receive an email if your proxy bid has been outbid. If so, a red bar stating 'You have been outbid on this lot' will appear on the lot page.

  • No, the bidding process is set up in such a way – with two-step verification – that it is virtually impossible to place a bid by mistake. Before confirming your bid, you can still cancel your bid. A bid once placed is binding.

  • After you have received the proforma invoice you can be certain of your purchase. After the entire auction has closed, Industrial Auctions strives to award the lots and send the proforma invoices as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours.
